Alia Bhatt walks out of Rajamouli’s RRR?
he makers of SS Rajamouli’s RRR announced that Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has been roped in to play one of the female leads in the film. There were also speculations that the team has brought her on board by shelling out a huge sum of money.
According to latest reports, the Gully Boy actress has backed out of Rajamouli’s magnum opus due to date issues. The actress was supposed to shoot for the film in Hyderabad, Gujarat, and Pune earlier this month. However, due to Covid-19 scare, the shoot got postponed.
Sources say that Rajamouli is constantly in touch with Alia Bhatt’s manager and has been trying to get her dates for the May schedule. The actress, who has her hands full with projects like Sadak 2, Brahmastra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, has chosen to opt out of the project as it might be difficult for her to accommodate dates.
This news comes, a few days after DVV Danayya interview to a leading daily in which he brushed off the rumours stating that Alia Bhatt will join the sets of the film in May. He said, “Alia Bhatt has allocated her call sheets for our film and will join the sets in May. The film is shaping up well and we have already completed about 75 percent of the shoot.”
Despite the producer’s confirmation, rumours on Alia Bhatt’s inclusion in RRR continue to haunt the team.
Made on a budget of Rs 400 to 450 crore, RRR tells a fictional story about two revolutionary freedom fighters Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, respectively. The makers of the film are planning to complete the shoot by September and release it in January 2020.
