Coronavirus cases in India increases more than 9 lakh and recoveries rise to 5.7 lakh

India’s Covid-19 caseload zoomed past the 9 lakh mark, with 28,498 new cases and 553 deaths, reported in the last 24 hours in the country. While the recovery rate among Covid-19 patients has increased to 63.02%. Stay here for all live updates

With 1,916 more people testing positive for the novel coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh, the total confirmed cases in the state climbed to 33,019 on Tuesday. The COVID-19 toll rose to 408 after 43 more people succumbed to the viral infection.

Of the total, there are 15,144 active cases including 17,467 recoveries.

This is the fifth consecutive day that COVID-19 cases in the country have increased by more than 26,000.
