BHEL commissions world’s first solar plant
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd’s shares surged as much as 4.48 percent to Rs 43.10 per share on the NSE after the company commissioned the world’s solar PV plant in Madhya Pradesh.
the company said in its filing that it is for the first time that solar power is directly being used for traction appliances. The plant will feed power to the traction systems of the Indian Railways. The project was developed on a turnkey basis and on vacant land of the railways.
