Online booking from june 1 onwards available
Indian Railways passengers alert! Piyush Goyal-led Indian Railways has announced that from June 1, 200 non-air conditioned, time-tabled trains will start services from June 1. These special passenger trains will be in addition to the Shramik special trains that Indian Railways is running. The IRCTC e-ticket booking for these special non-AC passenger trains will begin online soon. According to Indian Railways, tickets for these special non-AC trains can only be booked online
In a tweet on Tuesday, the Railways said apart from the Shramik Special trains, it would run “200 additional timetable trains daily from June 1, which will be non-air conditioned second class trains and booking of these trains will be available online”.

For the sleeper class of tickets, the maximum waitlisted tickets limit is 200. For air-conditioned coaches the waitlisted limit would be; 20 (First AC), 20 (Executive Class), 50 (AC-2 tier), 100 (AC 3-tier), 100 (AC Chair Car). While booking tickets on the IRCTC website, it is mandatory for passengers to declare that they have read the state-wise protocol for passengers arriving from special passenger trains, for example in some states a 14-day quarantine is compulsory etc. Additionally, passengers aree required to fill in their destination address so that in case there is a need for contact tracing, Indian Railways can locate passengers.
The 200 trains announced on Tuesday will run in addition to the premium passenger trains connecting New Delhi with 15 cities across India, and the ones ferrying stranded migrant labourers to their hometowns.
