Amid coronavirus pandemic, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday issued fresh ‘Unlock’ guidelines for the state.
As part of the guidelines all markets will allowed to remain open from Monday to Friday and during the weekends they’ll remain shut when sanitization process will be undertaken at these markets.
The decision comes after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting on Sunday with the officers of ‘Covid-19 management team-11’.
With its highest-ever spike of 1,403 new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday, the total number of positive cases reported in Uttar Pradesh crossed the 35,000 case-mark and is currently at 35,092. This includes 22,689 discharges, 11,490 active cases and 902 deaths.
The state has already imposed a 55-hour mini lockdown till Monday, where except for essential and some other services, everything else is closed. The curbs will lift at 5 am on Monday.
Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing a surge in the number of Covid-19 cases. On Saturday, the state recorded 1,403 cases, up from a high of 1,347 a day before.
The state has recorded 35,092 Covid-19 positive cases so far, according to the Union health ministry.
